Everybody is different. I chose a will because I worked in a high-risk profession and wills allow a rapid cutoff of creditor claims that a trust does not. I want the person in charge of my estate to be monitored and held accountable which probate does and trusts do not. I do not want the increased complexity that accompanies selling assets while I am alive that trusts create. And should it become necessary I don't want the additional complexity that trusts create when one applies for government assistance for long term care.
