When I was a child, on our weekly trip to the library, my mother reserved the right to pick out one book for me. (And one for my sister). I searched the children's section for the books with the coolest monsters on the cover. My mother always picked one for me with no pictures at all. It made me angry and frustrated that the books she picked were always the best of that weeks batch. I could not for the life of me figure out how she did it.

I enjoyed your Medium day presentation.
