Your response inspires me. I have been wearing Dickey and Carhart lately, largely because I have been trying to do some of the maintenance on my home myself instead of hiring someone. I have zero common sense and little dexterity so the going is slow. I thought the Dicky and Carhart would help but I don't think they have. Perhaps the Allbird shoes let me down. When I go to Home Depot I feel like a vegan at a rodeo.

I have close friends in the trades. They mock me for my incompetence and know that my Carhart clothes are an affectation. They do me a lot of favors so I am careful not to deprive them of the pleasures they get from giving me a hard time.
